Rob and Jennifer Sinclair

Like many, Rob and Jennifer’s lives have been touched by cancer. They shared a pivotal moment that impacted their family and shaped their outlook on legacy giving. When a primary care physician downplayed a mark on the neck of Rob’s mother, Jennifer insisted she have it checked by the experts at Roswell Park. What was disregarded by the primary care doctor turned out to be malignant melanoma. His mother’s outstanding treatment at Roswell Park, as described by Rob, cured her for 20 years.

When considering estate plans, Rob and Jennifer decided that charitable giving was important to them and felt strongly that Roswell Park Alliance Foundation be included in their will. In fact, as Rob and Jennifer travel and meet new people, the idea of charitable giving through estate planning often comes up, and they find themselves ambassadors of this often-overlooked avenue of giving. The couple shared that they appreciate the emotional connection to where they intend to leave their legacy, knowing their gift will impact the world through the important work being done on cancer research and patient care at Roswell Park.

Generous legacy gifts like this help us work toward our vision to free our world from the fear, pain and loss due to cancer — one act of compassion, one breakthrough discovery, one life-changing therapy at a time — until cancer is gone.
